NetIX expanded to a global Internet Exchange operator
Today, NetIX Communications, the global carrier-class Ethernet platform and a winner of the Best Internet Exchange 2018 award at the Global carrier awards, announced the extension of its existing network.
Before the expansion, NetIX was present in 25 data centers in Europe and one in the United States. Now, we are covering 35 countries, connecting 3700 networks in 151 PoPs (65 cities), providing the lowest possible RTD for the Ethernet circuits and the shortest as-path length peering service to 85% of the world's active ASNs. NetIX members are connected to the leading cloud/CDN platforms and 30+ IXPs in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Australia.
Some of the new places in which NetIX is presented are: Ashbourne, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago and New York in the United States, São Paulo and Lima in South America, St. Petersburg in Russia, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, Jakarta in Asia, Johannesburg in Africa and many others.
The network coverage has been achieved through global partnership agreements whereas the NetIX network and its partners` network will be integrated into an SDN layer allowing all networks to operate as a single end-to-end network.
From now on, NetIX customers will be able to request services and pricing in all the global locations listed on the NetIX network map.
“NetIX was created with a global network in mind, ever since we conceived it. We have been working very hard to achieve this level of technological functionality and we are very proud that we are already global.
This network extension is a major milestone for us” - commented Neven Dilkov, the NetIX Communnications founder.
